This 11 page adapted book helps students learn about famous women through 'what' questions. Each page includes 1-2 sentences of informational text and a corresponding question. Students choose the correct answer from a field of 3 cards with both words and a picture. Can be used as an independent work task or direct instruction in your special education classroom.

Example passages and questions:
• Amelia Earhart was a famous pilot. She was the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean by herself. (What was Amelia Earhart's job?)
• Malala Yousafzai is a young girl from Pakistan. Some people in her country did not want girls to go to school, but she argued that everyone should be allowed to learn. (What did Malala want to do?)

This is not a comprehensive review of famous women in history but rather a few key pieces are highlighted for a special education class. The text is very basic so students can focus on the important pieces.

This resource also includes five differentiated worksheets that add an optional writing component.
1) Circle the picture
2) Circle the word
3) Answer the question
4) Trace the answer with the question
5) Trace the answer by itself

Includes directions for creating the book, set up, instruction and modifications. While designed for students with autism in mind, this book can be used in any special education or early childhood classroom.

Please note: This is a digital download.  You will download, print, and prep as needed. No physical items will be sent to you.
